The tombstone of the Polish astronomer and astrophysicist, from 1839 to 1850 director of the Warsaw Astronomical Observatory, Adam Prażmowski (1821-1885) is located in the 41st quadrant of the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris. The marble tombstone consists of a tall frame, tapering upwards, covered by a rectangular tombstone. On it is a plaque with an inscription and a bronze medallion, 35 cm in diameter, made in 1885 by the Polish sculptor Władysław Marcinkowski (1858-1947). The medallion depicts a veristic depiction of Prażmowski's bust at a ripe old age.

Also buried in the grave is Wacław Garczyński (1870-1955).
