In the new cemetery in Gießen (Hesse), 104 Polish citizens who died during the Second World War or died as dippers in the post-war period are laid to rest.
In 2020-2021, the Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation, as part of a task subsidised by the Ministerial Programme "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad", compiled data on the buried persons and made it available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the project "Polish memorials and war graves in Germany": https://polskiegroby.pl/cmentarz.php?jez=pl&cmentarzok=643&miejsceok=744&landok=8.
