Biography:

Kazimierz Marczewski (1903-1977), born in Gdańcówka, Ukraine, architect. He studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. He was a Warsaw insurgent. From 1945 he co-founded the Office for the Reconstruction of the Capital. He designed, among others, the Moskwa Cinema and the Polish Word House. In 1955 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland. Marczewski was one of the experts involved in the reconstruction of Skopje after the 1963 earthquake.
