Igor Mitoraj, a prominent Polish sculptor in 1938, settled in Pietrasanta, a small Tuscan town known for its marble work. He bought a house there and was buried in the local cemetery after his death in 2014. The places where he lived and created are marked in the town, and the town is also full of traces of his work. The local authorities plan to complete the Museo Igor Mitoraj in 2024.
