Biography:

Józef Bohdan Zaleski (1802-1886) - Polish publicist and poet of the Romantic period, senator, active in France and Switzerland. One of the founding fathers (along with Adam Mickiewicz, Stefan Witwicki and Antoni Gorecki, among others) of a patriotic-religious-meditative society, the Union of United Brethren (1834). From 1835 to 1837, a member of the Polish Democratic Society. He shunned Towianism.
