In the Old Trakai cemetery, located about 200 metres from the church, is the grave of Tadeusz Oprych. It used to be decorated with a beautiful eagle, which has been destroyed. An inscription has been preserved on the monument: "Tadeusz Oprych born 28 VIII 1902. Defender of Lwów Volunteer of the 201st Regiment of the Polish Army. Fell for Poland on 18 September 1920. Honour to his memory".

It is not known why this soldier, a defender of Lwów, was buried in the cemetery in Stare Troki - none of the inhabitants of this town bear his name.
