Cemetery in Daszów

The Catholic cemetery in Dashovo is located on the left side of the road to Hoysyn, along which stretches a brick arcaded cemetery wall with a gate, a rarity in this part of Ukraine. The cemetery is in a residual state, with tombstones broken. Zbigniew Hauser in 1996 found eight tombstones from the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Notable among them is the tombstone of Bolesław Iwaszkiewicz, father of the poet and writer Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, surrounded by a cast iron fence. Another interesting monument, unfortunately broken, is the gravestone of Count Jerzy Rzewuski, who died in 1861, made of white marble and bearing an inscription in Latin. There is an apparent error in the date of birth.

In 2013, as part of the "Mogiła pradziada ocal od zapomnienia" campaign of Studio Wschód, the cemetery was cleared of overgrowth. h ttp://w ww.studiowschod.org.pl/akcja2013.htm
