Biography:

Marcin Jabłoński (1801-1876), born in Głogów. Fascinated by painting, he taught himself by copying paintings he saw in art galleries. In 1820, he settled in Lwów. There he began his career as a portrait painter, and also carried out commissions for churches. In 1848, he opened a lithographic workshop there. He prepared illustrations for several books: "Surroundings of Galicia" (1848), "Views of Galicia" (1848), "Views of the Cracow area" (1852). From 1848 he was a member of the Society of Lviv Bookbinders, Antiquarians and Printers.
