Edward Wilowski, Polish priest, parish priest in Brudenell, Canada. After a fire in the St Stanislaus Kostka church in 1936, he started the construction of a new church. That same year he erected the present brick church on the hillside of Shrine Hill. It was consecrated on 29 June 1937 with the invocation of Our Lady Queen of the Polish Crown. Just before the outbreak of the Second World War, a faithful copy of the painting of Our Lady of Czestochowa, a gift from Ignacy Mościcki, President of Poland, was placed in the church through his efforts.
