Tombstone of Olimpia Oginskaya

Vilnius | Lithuania

Burial site originally marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross not preserved. First step of plinth with moulded upper edges. On the front in the lower right corner an engraved signature. The second step of the plinth with moulded upper edges, covered by a panel with acroterions and peaks. On the front a metal cross, below an engraved inscription. In the lower part the mount visible after the coat of arms cartouche.

Olimpia / z Baronów Ronne / Xięźna / OGIŃSKA / z dzieckiem swojem / tu spoczywa / zmarła 10 Kwiet. 1861 r. //.

Additional information:

Time of creation determined hypothetically on the basis of form and dates of life. In the file of Wacław Wejtka, under the letter O, card number 26, dated 1936. According to the file, the location of the gravestone is sector "A. 7th row. From entrance N2". Description of the gravestone: "Entire monument of granite in pink shade, crowned with a broken urn. Above the inscription a brass cross and below the inscription a coat of arms, iron lattice fence".

State of preservation:

corrosion, numerous cavities, mosses, lichens, non-maintained finial
