For Polish soldiers killed in the battles of 1920 in Smorgonia and the surrounding area, a plot was arranged in the parish cemetery, on its southern side. The corpses of the fallen, which had been buried by the railway station and the church, were moved here. The remains of soldiers exhumed in the villages of: Boży Dar, Chocienie, Mala Myssa and Michniewicze. Documents preserved in the Lithuanian Central State Archive (LCVA) gave the names of soldiers buried in Smorgonia, but they were not commemorated in the cemetery. Almost the entire area of the war quarters is occupied by a monumental concrete monument, erected in 1928. Remnants of the original inscription plaque, on which the inscription was engraved, have survived to the present day: "To the heroes fallen for their Homeland in 1920. / Collective grave. / 11 XI 1919 / 11 XI 1929". Currently, a small plaque with the image of an eagle and the inscription "Unknown soldiers / of the Polish Army / fallen in 1920" is placed on the front of the monument. In 2018, the monument was provisionally restored by the Union of Poles in Belarus with the support of the Consular Department of the Polish Embassy in Minsk.
