There are at least several soldiers buried in the Bernardine cemetery who died in the battles for Poland's freedom in 1919-1920. These are individual graves, not a compact plot, but they are well recognisable in the cemetery space, as they are tombstones made according to one pattern - a vertical slab with chamfered upper corners, and a large black cross on the slab. At present, we managed to find 5 such graves in the cemetery, they are located in the following places: - from the main entrance to the left a few dozen steps, in front of the catacombs - two graves of unknown soldiers from 1919, - down the aforementioned alley to the end, down the steps and then to the right towards the road leading from the main gate - on the right another grave of an unknown soldier from 1919, - down the main cemetery avenue, to the right of the entrance, by the cemetery wall - the graves of Sgt Michal Pruner and Wachmeister Smietanka.
