Cemetery of Polish Army soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik war

At the edge of the village is a cemetery where soldiers who died in the Polish-Bolshevik war in 1920 were buried. In 1930, the corpses of soldiers originally buried in Antonov were transferred to this cemetery. Originally, the cemetery was fenced with stone pillars probably connected by metal bars or chains. There were 55 graves and a tall central cross without inscription. The cemetery has survived to the present day despite the damage it has sustained over time. At an undetermined time another burial was made there, as evidenced by a monument with a now obliterated inscription, made in a completely different style to the soldier's graves. The graves are arranged in three rows, with the inscriptions of 39 soldiers known by name and 18 unknown engraved on the crosses. The main monument is placed in the centre of the cemetery. Between 2015 and 2016, the cemetery was renovated by local Poles. The renovation was carried out in a cursory and unprofessional manner. During these works, all trees were cut down, concrete simple crosses without inscriptions and grave curbs were made, original crosses were placed in the grave fields, the central cross was removed, a central monument was placed instead, and 4 plaques with inscriptions in Polish - with language errors - were placed on it. Between the plaques a small figure of Christ was placed from the former wooden cross in the quatrefoil. The lowest plaque (under the Christ figure) contains the inscription: "Cemetery of Polish soldiers 1919-1920". The other plaques (situated above the figure of Christ and on its sides) bear the names of the soldiers buried here, presumably read from the original crosses. The order of the names on these plaques appears to be random. The cemetery was renovated in 2019 with funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Due to the considerable deterioration of the material of the gravestones, granite replicas were made. The main monument was left unchanged, with only the appropriate paint.
