Tombstone of Zygmunt Lobaczewski

Burial place marked by cross on plinth in the form of rocks and base. Cross with incised edges, on plinth in the form of schematic rocks. At the intersection of the arms a figure of Christ, above a titulus. On the pedestal at the front a plaque with an engraved inscription. The whole is enclosed by a fence consisting of a band and plinths connected by a cast iron bar. On the band at the front an engraved signature.

In Waclaw Wejtka's card file, under the letter Ł, card number 55, dated 1936. According to the card the location is "on the left side of the cemetery chapel, near catacombs B, from the pathway in front of the chapel, N4". www.rossa.lt

State of preservation:

Comments on the state of preservation and visible restoration:

In 2012, the gravestone was renovated by the Social Committee for the Care of Stara Rossa, with the support of the Polish Embassy in Vilnius and the Chamber of Bailiffs in Białystok. The repair work was carried out by Czesław Połoński. (www.rossa.lt)
