Biography:

Szymon Wieczorek, clergyman, member of the Resurrectionist congregation. A participant in the January Uprising, after the fall of which he fled abroad. He stayed in Paris, was ordained a priest, and in 1868 came to the United States. First pastor of St Adalbert's parish in Detroit. He came into conflict over investments and finances with the bishop and was dismissed for insubordination.
