Biography:

Kazimierz Skórewicz (1868-1950), born in Stubelek in Volhynia, architect, conservator and architectural historian. He graduated from the St Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers (1894). In 1885 he moved to Baku, where he found employment as a district architect and later as chief architect of Baku. Co-founder of the Society for the Care of Monuments of the Past (1906). After the First World War, he was Head of the State Buildings and after the Second World War he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology.
