Biography:

Bolesław Biegas, born Bolesław Biegalski (1877-1954), Polish sculptor and painter, also a playwright. He was a member of the Viennese Art Nouveau movement and lived in Paris from 1902. One of the most important Symbolist-Secessionist artists. He died in obscurity and poverty in 1954. A renewed interest in his art came in the 1970s.
