Biography:

A native of Nowy Sącz, he graduated in medicine from the Jagiellonian University. He joined the Polish Military Organisation (POW), was promoted to major in 1919, and was a student at the Higher Military School, after which he was awarded the diploma of a certified officer. From October 1936, he was on the General Staff in Warsaw. In 1939, he was taken prisoner and held in an oflag. After the end of WWII, he left for Great Britain, where he was active in social and political life, serving, among others, as Chairman of the Supreme Chamber of Control and Minister of Military Affairs (1980-1984). Chancellor of the Chapter of the Order of Polonia Restituta in exile.
