In 2018, a detailed study was carried out and a programme of conservation work was drawn up for the painting of Our Lady of Tywrow from St Michael the Archangel Church in Tywrow.

The image of Our Lady of Tivrovo (1850) is one of the images covered by veneration, which means that it is extremely important for the local community of the Vinnytsia Region. The object was in a poor state of repair due to the poor maintenance carried out so far and needed urgent intervention.

In 2019, with funding from the POLONIKA Institute, conservation work was carried out by dismantling the canvas, removing secondary canvas patches and strips and replacing them with new canvas patches and prosthetics. In addition, the adhesion of the primer to the canvas and the paint layer was strengthened, the face of the painting was cleaned of chemical build-up, cavities were restored, the paint layer was retouched and protected with varnish.

In 2018, a detailed study was carried out and a conservation work programme was drawn up for the painting of Our Lady of Tywrovo from St Michael the Archangel Church in Tywrovo.

The results of the research showed that the painting is a mid-19th century copy of an 18th century miraculous image of Our Lady of Tywrow. Its previous restorations did not meet proper standards: the canvas strips were glued defectively, retouches and varnishes were made incorrectly technologically.
