Walery Choroszewski (1922-2010), born in Vilnius, died in London, son of Helena, Polish émigré activist, minister in the Polish Government in Exile. From 1942, he was in Great Britain, where he served in the Polish Navy and on the ORP Piorun. He completed vocational studies in shipping (1951), then worked in this field until 1990. He actively participated in the social and political life of the emigration (since the 1960s).
