Comments on the state of preservation and visible restoration:

no visible cracks on the marble elements and concrete foundation, the grave is structurally stable. Directly above the grave are branches of trees and ivy growing nearby. Their presence definitely contributes to the strong biodeterioration of the stone surface, through the intensive fall of organic material (honeydew and leaves) and the continuous shading, slowing down the evaporation of excess water. The surface of the marble elements is weathered, lacking the original polish, and is also intensely covered by algal growth and lichen colonies, and the marble banding is stained with soil.
