Biography:

Antoni Pająk (1893-1965), graduated from primary school, then began working in factories and mines in Těšín Silesia. In 1911, he joined the Social Democratic Party of Galicia. He was a soldier in the Polish Legions Brigade and the Polish Military Organisation. After World War I, he graduated from an industrial school. From 1919 he was a member of the Polish Socialist Party, in which he was a member of the Supreme Council from 1920 to 1937. In 1940 exiled to Siberia. From 1942, he served as a delegate of the Polish embassy in Yakcuya. In 1948 he found himself in Great Britain, where he was one of the founders of the Union of Polish Socialists. In London, he founded several Polish periodicals, including the "Gazeta Powszechna". He was Minister of the Treasury in Stanisław Mickiewicz's government. From 1955 to 1965, he was Prime Minister of the Polish Government in Exile.
