Tadeusz Andrzejczak (1915-1987), born in Częstochowa, son of Stanisław and Helena. He grew up in Bydgoszcz. He studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (1934-1939). In 1939, he was mobilised and later sent to a prisoner of war camp. In 1945, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he took up architectural studies at the School of Architecture at the Polish University in London. He obtained his diploma in 1951. After his studies, he began working with the London County Council's architecture department. In 1954, he emigrated with his family to Australia. There he completed several commissions including the Western Australian Institute of Technology, the Astronomical Observatory in Perth and the Central Law Courts in St George's Terrace.
