Władysław Oleszczyński was born on 17 December 1807 in Końskawola; he was a sculptor and created, among other things, a monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań and a tombstone to Adolf Cichowski in Paris. He died on 11 April 1866 in Rome.
