Jolanta Singer-Zemła was one of a group of three architects who won a competition around 1979 to design the Islamic Cultural Centre in Madrid. Together with her, the authors were Jan Czarny and Marek Zemła. The centre includes a mosque, which is the largest shrine of this religion in Spain.
