Teodor Talowski (1857-1910) was born in Zassow. He studied architecture in Vienna and Lviv. From 1881 he worked as an assistant at the Faculty of Building at the Higher Technical and Industrial School in Krakow. From 1901 onwards, he taught drawing at the Lviv Polytechnic. Teodor Talowski designed architecture of unique expression. He combined various styles, realising eclectic buildings that are difficult to classify unequivocally. He designed many churches, tenement houses, villas and palaces, also abroad. He was also a painter.
