Monument to Father Jerzy Popieluszko

The monument - a bust of Blessed George - is the first to be erected on American soil. It was erected in 1987 on the initiative of the people of Trenton at the time of parish priest Feliks Schabowski. The creator of the monument is Master Andrzej Pityński, also the creator of monuments to the victims of the Katyn Genocide in Jersey City and Baltimore, as well as to the Unbroken Soldiers in Boston and Stalowa Wola. The bust is made of bronze, patinated in colour, standing on a pedestal of black granite, with a total height of 3.4 metres.
