Tadeusz Fuss-Kaden 'Black Christ' mosaic in the Holy Trinity Church

In 1948, to mark its tenth anniversary, the church received a large glass mosaic made by a Polish artist (1914-1980). 125 kg of glass mosaic stones were arranged into an impressive work: "Black Christ"-. Thousands of mosaic stones depict a black Jesus with his arms outstretched in the pose of the cross. To his left and right are Mary, his mother, and John, his favourite disciple. The green colour of hope is the dominant primary colour of the huge painting (3.3 x 2.4 m), which hangs centrally in the choir room. Depending on the sunlight, the viewer is presented with a magnificent interplay of 120 different colours, including 15 shades of green alone.
