In the forest cemetery in Celle (Lower Saxony) there are 5 plots with war graves in which several hundred people are buried: forced labourers of various nationalities, victims of the Neuengamme concentration camp (Salzgitter-Drütte commando), prisoners, prisoners of war of various nationalities, victims of Allied air raids. A total of 202 Polish citizens are buried in the cemetery.
In the years 2020-2021 the "Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation", as part of a task supported by the "Places of National Remembrance Abroad" Programme of the Minister, compiled data on the buried persons and made it available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the "Polish Memorials and War Graves in Germany" project: https://polskiegroby.pl/cmentarz.php?jez=pl&cmentarzok=573&miejsceok=691&landok=6.
