The battle for the town of Bar, fought as part of the Polish-Bolshevik war, took place on 27.04.1920. As a result, the Poles captured the town, the Soviet division withdrew and the Ukrainian brigade, fighting on the Soviet side, surrendered. After the battle, the fallen Polish soldiers were taken to the cemetery and buried here. Their grave was very modest and was neglected after the Second World War.
In 2001. The Council for the Protection of Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom realised a new commemoration on this grave. A vertical concrete wall was erected, on which a relief of an eagle and the inscription "To Polish Soldiers 1920" were placed. A black granite plaque with inscriptions in Polish and Ukrainian was placed within the grave: "Here rests several dozen / soldiers of the Polish Army / killed in heavy fighting / in the autumn of 1920. / Honour their memory". The whole was surrounded by a stone wall.
