The battles for Latyczów between the Polish and Soviet armies in 1920 were fought twice - first on 18-22 February and later in late June and early July. In the Latyczów cemetery there is a grave of about 25 Polish soldiers killed in these battles. A mound with a cross has been preserved on the soldiers' grave until modern times.
At the beginning of the 21st century, this cross was replaced with a new one by a local priest. In 2006, the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Remembrance carried out a renovation of the mound and placed a granite cross and a plaque with the inscription: "Here rest the soldiers of the Polish Army / fallen in Latyczów in 1920 / Honour their memory! / Private Władysław Bańka / Private Stanisław Bączek / Private Wincenty Boldowski / Canon Kazimierz Chłost / Lt.
