Biography:

Józef Zajączek (1752-1826), born in Kamieniec Podolski, son of Antoni Zajączek (coat-of-arms Świnka) and Marianna (née Cieszkowska). He joined the army at a young age. He fought in the Bar Confederation. In 1774, he left for Turkey to fight alongside the Turks against Russia. In 1790 he became a deputy of the Podolia voivodeship to the Four-Year Sejm. He took part in the Polish-Russian War of 1792 and later in the Kościuszko Uprising. He also fought alongside Napoleon. He died in the Namiestnikowski Palace.
