Tombstone of Jan Komadziński

Burial place marked by a stele on a two-stage plinth and base. Stele closed semicircularly with cornice. Originally surmounted by an urn (partly lost) on its own stepped base. In the finial on the front a bas-relief broken rose. On the stele to the front an oval panel with a convex carved head of an angel shown in left profile, wavy hair and a pair of wings visible. Below the engraved inscription: (1). Beneath it a convex carved olive lamp decorated with a meander. The first step of the pedestal with chamfered upper edges, the upper step closed with moulding, on it on the front an engraved inscription: (2). In front of the stele a panel with an engraved cross. The slab is framed by a band on which is a fence consisting of originally 6 now one not preserved posts in the form of a pyramid. On these can be seen the fixings of the unpreserved fence.

1. ICI REPOSE / JEAN KOMADZINSKI / OFFICIER DE L’ ANCIENNE ARMÉE / POLONAISE ET SUPERINTENDANT / DE LAND TRANSPORT / PENDANT LLA GUERRE DE CRIMÉE DE 1854 / MORT LE 7 AÔUT 1887 //.

2. TU SPOCZYWAJĄ ZWŁOKI Ś.P. JANA KOMADZIŃSKIEGO / PORUCZNIKA 1 PUŁKU KONNYCH STRZELCÓW / WOJSKA POLSKIEGO Z 1830 ROKU W WIEKU 75 LAT //.
