Biography:

Władysław Ludwig Ślewiński (1856-1918), Polish painter, representative of Young Poland and Art Nouveau. In 1888, escaping debt problems, he moved to Paris, where he began to develop his artistic career. In 1905, he returned to Poland, where he began working as a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Five years later he moved again to France. He died on 24 March 1918 in Paris.
