Stanley (Stanislaw) Haidasz (1923-2009), Canadian cardiologist, politician and social activist. First Canadian senator of Polish origin. In 1964 and 1965, Canadian delegate to the United Nations General Assembly. Between 1972 and 1974, Secretary for Multiculturalism in Canada. Senator from Ontario since 1978. Parliamentary delegate to the North Atlantic Council from 1981 to 1983.
