Rafał Jan Grzondziel, Franciscan priest, pastor of the parish of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Vilnius, Canada. Founder of the Kashuby resort. He also spent time in the United States In 1952, he purchased land at Lake Wadsworth in Canada and founded the Catholic Youth Centre, and a year later, with the help of local Kashubians, built a chapel which he named the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels. Thanks to his efforts, the Canadian Board of Geographical Names in Canada formally approved the name Kashuby in 1960.
