2023
The creation of the Adam Mickiewicz monument was financed by Boryslav oil and ozokerite workers. The unveiling of the object took place on the centenary of the bard's birth (1898). The original location of the monument was the square in front of the female common school on what was then Panska Street (now T. Shevchenko Street).

Work completed in 2023.

At the end of the 1960s, when the school, which was in disrepair, was demolished, the city authorities decided to move the Adam Mickiewicz monument to the site of the Boryslav City Park of Culture and Recreation, where it remains to this day. Unfortunately, over the years the original pedestal and column of the monument were destroyed. In its new location, the bust was set into a high concrete square pedestal, at the foot of which a marble slab with an inscription in Ukrainian was placed.

The aim of the conservation work was to restore the original appearance of the object. The bust pedestal was reconstructed on the basis of a photograph showing its historical appearance, i.e. in the form of a cannelled column placed on a pedestal and base. The bronze image of A. Mickiewicz was cleaned of secondary paint layers and protected from the destructive effects of atmospheric agents.
