Polish Legions - Polish military formations operating from 1914 to 1917 on the side of the Central Powers, subordinated organisationally to the Supreme Command of the Austro-Hungarian Army, politically and partly organisationally to the Supreme National Committee. It was the supreme authority for the military, fiscal and political organisation of the Polish armed forces.
