Information about the object:
The collection consists of 74 archival units, covering the period 1939-1976. The aim of the task was to compile and digitise the archive of Wanda Pełczyńska (group no. 202) from the collection of the Piłsudski Institute in London.

Wanda Pełczyńska (née Filipkowska, 1894-1976) was a well-known independence activist, courier of the First Brigade of the Legions in the years 1914-1915 and of the Supreme Command in 1919, Member of the Fourth Chamber of Parliament (1935-1938), publicist and social activist, wife of the Chief of Staff of the Home Army Headquarters, General Tadeusz Pełczyński, member of the ZWZ-AK, prisoner of the NKVD in Vilnius in 1940-1941, collaborator of RWE, founder and first president of the Union of Polish Women in Exile, decorated with the Virtuti Militari Cross, the Cross of Independence, the Cross of the Home Army, among others.

Completed works:
As part of the procedure, the archival resource subject to digitisation was cleaned up (repair, straightening of documents, removal of paper clips and staples); pages of documents were scanned to obtain the digital original and digital copies were made to be placed online.

As part of the task, archival assemblies were digitised: 202 (whole) - Archive of Wanda Pełczyńska (5744 pages of documents) and additionally group 141 (whole 2 folders) - Polish Embassy in Romania (Visit of Jozef Pilsudski in Romania - preparation of the visit, correspondence of the Polish Embassy in Romania with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic correspondence - 104 pages) and group 100 - Archive of Stefan Mayer (154 pages, continuation from 2019, still unfinished). A total of 6002 pages of documents have been digitised. All materials were described and uploaded to the archives page of the Pilsudski Institute in London.

In addition to digitisation, the task also involved processing, preparing descriptions and placing on the website of the Institute's archives. The task is a continuation of the digitisation of the archival resources of the Józef Piłsudski Institute in London, carried out systematically since 2015.
