Information about the object:
The Armenian Cathedral is one of the oldest and most valuable historic churches of Lviv. Founded by Armenians in the second half of the 14th century, the temple was rebuilt and expanded many times. The present form was given to the church during the expansion of the temple carried out in the first half of the 20th century according to the project of arch. Franciszek Mączyński on the initiative of Archbishop Józef Teodorowicz. The creators of the temple's decoration were, among others, Jozef Mehoffer (mosaics on the dome and in its surroundings) and Jan Henryk Rosen (mural paintings).

After the Second World War, the closed church was used as a warehouse for the Lviv Picture Gallery. Conservation and restoration work in the cathedral has been carried out since 2006.

Completed works:
Conducting intervention conservation work in the oldest (presbyterial) part of the Armenian Cathedral in Lviv. The work in this part of the church, financed by funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, has been carried out since 2019 and included, among other things, the mosaic by Jozef Mehoffer in the dome and pendentives and the altar conch, the polychrome and gilded cornices and the gilded planes on both sides of the altar conch.
