He was one of the founders of the Union of Poles in Italy and for many years the president of the Margrabina J. S. Umiastowska Rome Foundation.

For his services he was awarded the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Rebirth of Poland. Stanislaw Morawski died in Rome on 23 December 2019. He was 97 years old.
