The house at 24 Zamkowa Street in Vilnius, was the place where Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski lived for three years, between 1832 and 1835. He rented the premises from Mrs Orlowska. Today, a plaque commemorating this event adorns the façade of the building. It consists of a bas-relief and an inscription in Polish and Lithuanian.
