A monument to Vincenz Priessnitz in Jeseník, specifically in the part of the town of Lázně Jeseník where the spa is located. Vincenz Priessnitz opened a hydrotherapeutic spa in Jeseník in 1826. Many Poles and Poles used this plant, and it is from the name of the inventor that we have the word shower in the Polish language. The monument was commissioned by Polish patrons to honour the great inventor Priessnitz. The order for the design was placed with Zdenek Schubert Ritterw in 1890. A year later, the sculptor Josef Hanke, from Velké Kunětice, began making the work. The completed work was ceremonially unveiled on 7 August 1901 (around the 50th anniversary of Vincenzo Priessnitz's death). Its unofficial unveiling took place on 13 August 1894, with much interest from the visiting and local population. The monument, made of marble, consists of a three-sided pyramid on a plinth standing on three steps. On the front of the pyramid an engraved inscription: Priessnitz and a plaque with a Czech translation of Polish texts. On the sides of the plinth the text of Prof. Mayer: "God inspired him to save the suffering with the gentlest and most effective means - water. Honour His memory! From the Poles 1899." At the top of the monument on a sphere stands a Polish eagle made of bronze with outspread wings and a royal crown.
