In the centre of Kutaisi between the Rioni River and the Kolchida Fountain is the Georgian-Polish Friendship Square named after Wladyslaw Raczkiewicz, with a bust of the politician on it. The ceremonial opening of the square took place in 2020, while the statue was placed in 2021. Władysław Raczkiewicz, in January 1885, was born precisely in Kutaisi, where he spent his early childhood years. The monument consists of a bust on a pedestal with an inscription in two languages, Polish and Georgian.
