Monument to the Battle of Kircholm in Salaspils

Monument to the Battle of Kircholm in Salapsils. A monument in the type of only vaguely worked stone, with a plaque in a niche with an inscription in Latvian and Polish. We learn from it that in 1605, at Kircholm, one of the greatest battles of modern history took place. The combined Lithuanian, Kurlandic and Polish armies defeated the overwhelming Swedish forces. Above the inscription plaque are three coats of arms: of Lithuania, Poland and Courland.
