Polish 2nd Corps Memorial Museum at the Polish War Cemetery on Monte Cassino

The 2nd Polish Corps Memorial Museum is located at the entrance to the Polish War Cemetery on Monte Cassino. The idea of the need for the museum came from Mieczysław Rasiej, then president of the Union of Poles in Italy, but also a participant in the Battle of Monte Cassino. The building, designed by Pietro Rogacienia, was officially opened in 2014. The exhibition has been prepared in three languages and tells the story of the 2nd Polish Corps, starting from the consequences of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact to the times of exile in the post-war years. Thanks to the Museum, tourists from all over the world will learn about the history of the 2nd Corps' bravery.
