A plaque donated by soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Rifle Division from Camp Lasauge is located at the Auberge de la Sauge hotel in Cudrefin. In June 1940, nearly 40,000 soldiers of General Daille's 45th Corps crossed the French-Swiss border. Among them were some 12,500 Poles of the 2nd Infantry Rifle Division, commanded by General Prugar-Ketling. They were interned by the Swiss authorities and stayed in Switzerland until the end of the war.
