The Odessa Museum of Literature houses first editions of some of Adam Mickiewicz's works, as well as his photographs and memorabilia. The poet was exiled to Odessa for his participation in the activities of the Philomath Society in 1825. Despite this punishment, Mickiewicz lived in good conditions and took part in social life. At that time, he wrote the 'Crimean Sonnets'.
