In the Hungarian town of Sárospatak, there is a plaque founded in 2014, by the Office for War Veterans and Repressed Persons of the Republic of Poland and the Portius Association of Krosno. It was created in gratitude to the Hungarian people for taking care of 140,000 Polish soldiers and refugees during the Second World War.
