Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Kamyanets-Podilskyi

The cathedral was built in the 15th century, its construction being attributed to Bishop Maciej of Stara Łomża or Pavel of Bojańczyce. In the 16th century it was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. In 1672, during the Turkish occupation, the temple was converted into a mosque. In 1699, it was once again a Catholic temple. In 1820, the building was partially destroyed by fire, after which it was rebuilt in the late Baroque style. The altar was founded by Stefan Rupniewski. Many Poles are buried in the crypt of the temple, including Jan Dembowski, Mikołaj Górski and Jan de Witte.
